Why LYKKEH
exists.

This brand began with a question a parent couldn't answer: what is actually inside this toy? Everything that followed was an attempt to make that question unnecessary.

The problem we found

The Indian toy market
asks parents to trust
without evidence.

Walk into any Indian baby store. Read the labels. You will find "non-toxic" on products that have never been third-party tested. You will find "safe" without a certification number. You will find materials lists that end in the word "plastic" without specifying which polymer, which plasticiser, which colourant.

We built LYKKEH because we refused to accept this as the standard. Not because we wanted to make money from anxious parents — but because the information asymmetry between what manufacturers know and what parents know is genuinely dangerous.

"The question is not whether a toy is labelled safe. It's whether you can verify it."

LYKKEH is an attempt to close that gap. Every material we use is documented. Every claim is tested. Every test is available on request. That is the entire premise.

LYKKEH began the way most important things do — with someone refusing to accept an unsatisfying answer. A parent, a toy, and a question about what it was actually made of. No answer came. So we built the answer.

What followed was two years of material research, third-party certification, manufacturing relationships built from scratch, and a deliberate refusal to launch until every claim on every label could be independently verified.

We are headquartered in India. We manufacture in India. We intend to stay in India — not because it is the path of least resistance, but because we believe the next generation of genuinely premium infant brands will be built here, and we want to be one of them.

"We did not set out to build a toy company. We set out to answer a question that shouldn't have been unanswerable."
How we built it

Three founders.
One standard.

Our operating principles

What we believe.
Without negotiation.

01
Child safety over everything

Every design decision, material choice, and timeline question resolves to this. Speed, cost, and aesthetics are downstream variables.

02
Compliance is designed in, not audited on

We design for BIS IS 9873 from the first sketch — not at production approval. If a design can't meet the standard, the design changes.

03
Biodegradable because it's safer

The reason we use biodegradable polymers is that they reduce the toxin load in manufacturing. The environmental benefit is real but secondary to child safety.

04
Transparency is the product

Any parent who emails us asking for a test report will receive it. No exceptions. If we cannot provide it, we do not make the claim.

Our commitments

What we will never be.
What we always will be.

We will never →
Greenwash with unverified claims
If we say biodegradable, we mean tested, certified, and time-limited degradation under specific conditions — not "eco-friendly" with no evidence.
Ship a product that fails our safety test
Launch timelines are negotiable. Child safety is not. A delayed launch is inconvenient. A recalled product is unacceptable.
Use saturated primary colours as a developmental shortcut
We will not make toys that look bold in product photography but over-stimulate developing infant visual systems.
Hide behind "food-grade" or "medical-grade" language
These terms have no regulatory definition in the Indian toy market. We use test standards, certification numbers, and laboratory names.
We always will →
Publish test results on request
Any parent who wants to see the SGS India test report for any LYKKEH product will receive it within 24 hours. No exceptions.
Design for choking safety before aesthetics
Minimum part diameter is set at 48mm for all products. Edge radii are determined by infant oral safety modelling, not design preference.
Use materials we can fully disclose
The full ingredient list of every LYKKEH material — polymer base, plasticiser, pigment, stabiliser — is documented and available.
Stand behind every product with a 30-day return
If a LYKKEH product doesn't meet the standard we've set, return it. No paperwork. No questions. Full refund.
